Center Sessions: The Speculators

The Speculators are: Molly Andrejko (vocals), Teddy BoomBoom (upright bass/vocals), Nate Francisco (guitar/mandolin/vocals), Chris Merkley (guitar/harmonica/vocals)

Based in the musically-diverse hills of the Finger Lakes Region, in the city of Cortland, the band first came together around a love of Bluegrass, Blues and good old fashioned Rock n Roll. With American Roots music as their starting point, the mission was simple; write good songs, play good music, and have a little fun while doing it.

“Center Sessions” is a multi-media project of the Center for the Arts of Homer that chronicles exemplary bands and musicians from throughout the Central New York region.

Center Sessions provides artists the opportunity to present themselves and their work on a contemporary platform.

Performed in a relatively informal context, and within non-traditional spaces at the Center for the Arts – these performances are recorded live by professional audio and video engineers and released via social media and web properties as a means to introduce the world, digitally, to musicians of the Central New York region. These recorded performances are also digitally archived as an historic record.

Center Sessions is made possible through a decentralization grant administered by CNY ARTS by the New York State Council on the Arts.
