By embodying the graceful yet powerful principles of Tai Chi, one may cultivate a free and lively quality of movement and unforced effort.
In this space we will explore the fundamentals on which the many forms of Tai Chi are based, practicing a holistic series of exercises that tap our innate capacities for balance, coordination, flexibility and intelligent strength.
In the end and at the beginning, Tai Chi is about whatever moves us, whatever brings us into stillness, whatever we choose to value, express and relate (muscle, mind, heart, spirit, etc)
About the instructor: “I’ve practiced Tai Chi for the past 20 years and now teach it full-time. My classes are held at SUNY Cortland, Ithaca College, Cornell University, a variety of senior residences, adult education centers and at rehabilitation programs.” – John Berger
To those attending: Please wear comfortable clothing, sneakers or bare feet as you prefer. Class cost is $8 per session.
Held upstairs above the Art Gallery in the Reynold Pollak Studio.
