Part Time (Events Based) Venue Coordinator
Reports to the Executive Director
The Venue Coordinator is responsible for all operations relating to private and public events at the Center for the Arts of Homer. We are one of Central New York’s preeminent presenters of the arts and a proponent of community enrichment through world-class entertainment and arts education. In carrying out this role the Venue Coordinator will be expected to portray a positive image of the Center for the Arts of Homer and act professionally at all times.
Maintain operational standards for all inventory and event floor management.
Communicate with staff and volunteer coordinators to ensure successful events.
Be responsible for the set-up, break down, “opening” and “closing” of the campus for all events.
Awareness of compliance issues dealing with health and safety policies and procedures, inspections, licenses, permits, and training necessary to an events venue.
Ability to stay focused and ensure completion of tasks.
Ability to work closely with and motivate a diverse and rotating team of amazing volunteers.
Ability to ensure a pleasant patron, volunteer, and staff experience by bringing your great ideas and positive energy to every event.
